Information Technology Teachers' Training
The IT teachers' training course
comprehensively covers topics needed to prepare a person with requisite
technical knowledge into a good technical teacher confident to teach
information technology. It equips the person with specific knowledge and
techniques that are called for teaching in this space. It focuses on
making the person aware of unique characteristics and issues special to
the role of an IT teacher.

students with adequate technical knowledge to become adequately equipped
for teaching IT courses competently
Modules
1. Introduction:
More detailed Course Description, how it is designed, what to expect,
etc.
2. Theoretical
Discourse: Provides an overview of human development, overall learning
process, learning domains, principles of adult learning, how people
learn and how teachers teach
3. Preparatory
Activities: Covers items like designing a course, selecting the most
effective delivery strategy, defining the course syllabus, preparing
lessons plans, etc.
4. Teaching
Methods and Techniques: Looks at teaching addressing the special needs
inherent in teaching technical students and working professionals. It
highlights the skills and competencies called upon and suggest ways of
strengthening such competencies
5. Common
lacunae for immature IT professionals: While specific technology areas
remain out of scope for this course, this module highlights some areas
that are very commonly found wanting in a large population of the target
audience for the IT courses
6. Valuable
Tips and Tricks: Provides helpful hints on topics like how to manage
classroom, effectively use questions, remain aware of do’s and don’ts
for teachers, promote active learning, motivate students, promote
student retention, etc
7. Grading
and Assessment: Covers strategy, methods & techniques, common problems,
etc.
8. Closure:
Covers next Steps, self evaluation recommendations, assessment of the
students, assessment for this course, etc.
Eligibility
· Degree/Diploma/Advanced
Certifications in Information Technology & Graduate Degree from a
recognized University.
Duration
· Seventy-two
hours of total duration split into two to three hour classes, two to
three days a week for eight to twelve weeks .
